Pinzon 9-Piece Stainless-Steel Cocktail Bar Set Review

I entertain a lot so I was in dire need of a bar set. I wanted to be able to mix some cocktails for my friends since they were getting sick of being offered just beer. The Pinzon 9-Piece Stainless-Steel Cocktail Bar Set was selling for $49.95 and it seemed enough for my modest needs so I ordered away. It looked pretty classy in the picture so I figured it would impress my guests when I hold dinner parties. I wasn’t expecting something fancy. The Pinzon 9-Piece Stainless-Steel Cocktail Bar Set was obviously not professional quality, but hey, I’m not a professional bartender either.
When the Pinzon 9-Piece Stainless-Steel Cocktail Bar Set arrived, I was initially less than impressed. The packaging was horrible! It came in a dirty, brown box filled with Styrofoam. If you plan to give this gift as a Christmas present, please be aware that you need to repackage it. The surface of the cocktail shaker also had a few scratches although this really isn’t a major issue (at least not to me).

Aside from the stuff mentioned above, I am satisfied with the Pinzon 9-Piece Stainless-Steel Cocktail Bar Set. The saying, “you get what you pay for” applies here. I bought a $49.95 bar set and I got a bar set that was worth $49.95. Nothing more, nothing less. Although I always have a hard time getting the lid off the cocktail shaker, I really have no major peeves. I threw a party and my friends thought my bar set looked pretty neat so at least in the looks factor, it wasn’t lacking.

There is, however, one major point of concern. While at the party, a friend of mine told me he also has the Pinzon 9-Piece Stainless-Steel Cocktail Bar Set at home and that after a few weeks, the cocktail shaker started to rust. This has not happened to my set yet, but I am a little wary and therefore, I am thinking of upgrading and buying a better and more expensive bar set. In the meantime, however, the Pinzon 9-Piece Stainless-Steel Cocktail Bar Set fits my needs just fine.

Over-all, if you just need a bar set to entertain at home, I would recommend the Pinzon 9-Piece Stainless-Steel Cocktail Bar Set based on its low price tag alone. The set also looks sturdy and if it doesn’t rust and you don’t mind a few surface scratches, it will probably last a very, long time.
